Barry discusses how, after a 40 year career in financial services,  he was convinced that retirement was about numbers - a math problem. He’d thought that once you hit your number the rest would take care of itself.  He soon realised the importance of creating new structure to his week, the joy of part-time work and the experience of being present and not needing to constantly check emails. 

Grant shares his experience of retiring to the holiday home he and his wife had always enjoyed, and the realities and challenges of  living permanently in a holiday town. He talks about his move home to New Zealand after decades in corporate Sydney, living on a farm, becoming part of a local community and a near fatal accident that changed everything.

Claudia will probably never retire, but she has made a significant shift in her career and lifestyle. Following the scaling back of the business she and her mother, Vivian Chan Shaw  partnered in, Claudia is embracing new opportunities and never says no - even when she may be a little out of her comfort zone. In this new chapter, Claudia is leading Art tours around the globe, lecturing on her passion for art deco,  art and fashion icons. She’s creating and exhibiting her own art, producing TV, radio and podcasts and engaging audiences with warmth, humour, extensive research and sheer hard work.
